Dr Jarek Latanik

Jarek has a mixed public and private, adult and paediatric practice with the majority of his time spent anaesthetising little adults at The Children’s Hospital Westmead. He completed his training at Nepean Hospital in Sydney after which, he undertook fellowship training at The Children’s Hospital Westmead.

Jarek is passionate about teaching and education, particularly within the OT environment. He enjoys all parts of paediatric anaesthesia but is especially interested in liver transplants and ENT surgery. He also enjoys the general camaraderie of the theatre environment. He loves inspiring anaesthetic registrars to pursue paediatric anaesthesia as a career and aims to help create practical resources to help those working in paediatric anaesthesia.

He promises to find an actual photo of himself. Eventually.
