Dr Andrew Weatherall
Andrew has a clinical practice that encompasses anaesthesia for small people and prehospital medicine delivered in a helicopter to patients of all ages. His primary place of work in anaesthesia is The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, Australia. This is also where he did his fellowship.
There are not really any parts of paediatric anaesthesia he does not like but if he had to pick some favourites then cardiac and thoracic anaesthesia, trauma care, and the practical elements of getting teams working together in airway care would top the list. Along with various bits of education his research interests cover airway management, patient monitoring, periprocedural distraction and design in healthcare.
