Dr Andrew Hughes

Andrew is a full-time paediatric anaesthetist at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney. He completed fellowship training in paediatric anaesthesia and paediatric intensive care in Queensland, Australia before working as a paediatric anaesthetist and paediatric retrieval specialist in the UK.

He has now settled in Sydney. He is interested in all aspects of paediatric anaesthesia, but particularly enjoys anaesthesia for complex airway surgery, neuroanaesthesia, and perioperative medicine. He is passionate about accessible and interdisciplinary medical education.
